I found out about 4.5 years ago about having herpes. I have not had any any outbreaks since I tested positive. I consider myself very lucky that this doesn't affect me physically. On the other hand, there is still a big emotional toll. I have dated a lot and I've only found a couple of people that rejected me because of my positive status. I have told every guy I've ever dated in the last 4.5 years, which was always a hard conversation to have. It wasn't until recently that someone I really cared about rejected me because of my situation. I decided to join so I could meet people that could relate to the challenges I face in relationships.
