Friends say that people gravitate to me. I have an open, warm, friendly personality and I try not to take myself too seriously. I like to have a good laugh and to make others laugh too.
I have a comfortable life style and don't need a man to support me. In any case that wouldn't be hard to do as I like the simple things in life - walks in the country, sitting on a riverbank on a sunny day, sitting on my front porch, reading a good book.
I was a professional singer for a nubmber of years and music is still my greatest passion. I have very ecclectic tastes in music although I grew up in an environment surrounded by classical music. I like to travel but haven't done half as much as I would like to. However, this summer I'm going to Italy for the first time with a group of friends. Can't wait!!
I work for govenment in the area of economic development and it's nice to see that the economy is finally showing signs of improvement.
I have a twenty-year old daughter who is away at college and doing well and who like her mum shares a passion for music and the arts. She would love to see me settled down with a man because she can't imagine that I would be able to get through life without someone to pick up after! So far, I'm doing fine.
With respect to hobbies - I like to cycle, love hiking and the outdoors, in general. I love to dance and am currently taking some ballroom dancing classes.
I'm also pretty handy and always have some repair or renovation project going on in my house.
