Semi-retired community college instructor who enjoys various types of music, intelligent conversation, and laughter for the soul. I'm very straightforward and not materialistic; quite independent, and presently seeking a meaningful friendship that could grow into a loving partnership. Sorry, but I'm not a fan of NASCAR or casinos. Enjoy walking as my primary exercise and I make healthy eating choices - in general. Would enjoy having someone to be my fitness trainer/exercise buddy. Enjoy cooking, hosting potlucks, movies, concerts, writing, flea markets, people watching, and visiting historic places. I grew up Lutheran in the Chicagoland area. Once I began reading a bit of Buddhist philosophy...that became my spiritual path. I believe all the world's religions have meaningful teachings to guide us. I like woods/forests, lakes, and hope to see the mountains of Colorado and/or neighboring states some day. A visit to Alaska has always been on my bucket list....but I doubt that will ever happen. Always interested in seeing botanical gardens and how others landscape their property. I once created and operated a small-scale flower farm. Now I rent myself out as a Garden Nanny to a few clients when they go on vacation. I'm not a girly-girl. No manicures, pedicures, or hair dye. Just a grandma with a quirky sense of humor who appreciates simple things, still thinks she's 45...and sees a lot of humor in the everyday foibles we all face.
