I Would Describe Myself As

Like most people using this site, I'm searching for that special person for a committed relationship. I'm 70 years old, look late 50's to early 60's, but think and act like a much younger person. I don't wear pastels with a white belt and white shoes. Also, heaven forbid, sandals with socks. LOL I've been divorced for 5 years.

I graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa, and the Florida State University in Tallahassee. Earned a BA with a major in psychology and a ******'s degree in Social Work.
Spent most of my 34 year career as a Federal Social Worker with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Also 5 years with a hospice agency and 4 years as an assistant professor with Florida State University. Prior to college and graduate school I spent 10 years in the Air Force. Stationed in Vietnam in 1970.

I am easy going, have a calm demeanor and compassionate toward people and animals. The horse in my profile picture is Dusty, a rescue horse, who was scheduled to be euthanized in 2 days. Supposedly, he had a leg injury and would never be ridden again. However, from the picture, apparently, someone made a serious mistake. :)

Some of the things I enjoy are, of course, riding my horse (will teach you how to ride if you want), movies and eating out (gourmet dining from the Bone Fish Grill to Burger King and Popeyes. :) I live in a 55+ resort community and have the nick name "plant man." I have over a hundred plants that are not only attractive and decorative, but require substantial work/play. I also enjoy short, weekend forays to nature parks and preserves where I also bike ride. Also enjoy botanical gardens.Have resided in Florida for 40+ years and pretty much beached and water sports out. Will go with you though. I will grill and read while you enjoy yourself with your friends, family, etc. less<<
