I believe this site is full of lurkers and bot accounts. Does anyone have any REAL, meaningful connections or conversations with another person on this site? If you do, let me know, because I'm thinking coming here was a waste of time and money.

That being said: I'm a retired military man. My 20 years in were very active, stressful and chaotic. Now that I'm retired, I value peace and quiet and calm. I taught high school for two years after the military, and I now write articles for a historical publication.

I'm freshly divorced, I'm financially secure and comfortable with myself. Unfortunately I am not looking for marriage or for anyone to move in. Nothing against all of the wonderful ladies here, I'm just not good with marriage or really long term. I've found I'm not good at it. Otherwise, I'm very open to meeting new people and getting to know them.

I suppose I'm here to meet people who can say "This isn't the end of intimacy for you" and actually mean it. This whole thing is stressful, sometimes. In the end, I'm just looking to meet those that I can talk to about this with each other, support each other and maybe branch out and meet new people.
