I have a good sense of humor and can even laugh at myself (it happens a lot). Sarcastic at times but I can take it as well as I can give it. I like biking, camping, kayaking, fishing, golfing and skiing. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I'm honest and extremely loyal. Initially I'm quiet and reserved (shy) but very outgoing once we get to know each other. I feel there's still a part of me deep down that hasn't figured out that we're here for the same reason and that I'm not really damaged goods.

I enjoy cooking (especially for others) but cleaning up not so much. Family is everything and we celebrate all the holidays at my house. Cozying up on the couch and watching a good movie is a bonus and I listen to all types of music except opera. I like working out and used to be in great shape but admit I fell off the wagon. I'm become a little soft around the edges and could use a partner to give me some motivation.

In my spare time I volunteer as a board member for a non profit child care facility.
I have six nieces and nephews who I adore but they live in the Midwest.
My pit mix is the happiest dog in the world and runs like a little rhinoceros. He's the kindest, sweetest dog but easily excitable (jumping and playful) and would never hurt a soul.

I'm looking to get off this site ASAP and permanently. I've had strong, wonderful and long lasting relationships but the last one didn't share the gift. It was hard to say the least. I'm hopeful that I will find the one woman I can spend the rest of my life with and hopefully start a family.
I was optimistic when I found this site but going through the old profiles is exhausting.
